  • Pollution leads to detrimental health effects for wildlife and humans. 

  • 8 million metric tons of trashed dumped in our oceans every year.

  • Micro-plastics are a bigger problem than large plastics and are extremely hard to clean up. They also disrupt the food chain as it is inevitable to marine animals to avoid them. 

  • 5 oceanic garbage patches are gathered in our oceans, the largest being the Great Pacific Garbage Patch holding an estimated 1.8 trillion pieces of trash and covers the ocean space from surface to bottom.
